Cheryl Long O’Donnell – Principal
Cheryl has been involved in the design and management of numerous large scale projects in her 30+ years in the sign consulting profession including Winona State University, Carleton College, HealthEast Care Systems, and the Science Museum of Minnesota. She was instrumental in developing the wayfinding system for the Mall of America in Bloomington, MN. Ms. O’Donnell has been a member of the National Association of Female Executives (NAFE) since 1990, and a member of the Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD) since 1987.
Richard Lang – Principal
During his Signage and wayfinding career, Mr. Lang has directed many national, corporate, and retail projects including Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, Best Buy Company, and Hennepin County Medical Center. Mr. Lang has been called upon to serve as an expert witness in the area of design and fabrication techniques. He has provided master plan wayfinding services and managed accounts for North Memorial Hospital, Saint Paul College, and Como Regional Park and the City of Saint Paul Parks and Recreation Department. Mr. Lang has been a member of the Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD) since 1987.
Constance Carlson – Principal
Constance has been involved in the development of environmental graphics throughout her 30 year design career. The former owner of Preferred Design of Huntington Beach, CA, Ms. Carlson’s background in the fabrication of signage has afforded her an impressive knowledge of construction techniques. Her resumé includes interior and exterior designs for United Properties, MS&R, HealthEast, City of St. Paul, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and the Science Museum of Minnesota. She is a member of the Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD).
Tara Zimmerman – Graphic Designer
Ms. Zimmerman is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Stout in the field of Graphic Communication Management. Her experience in graphic design includes an extensive background in two and three-dimensional design, and multi-media including logo and print design applications. Ms. Zimmerman provides state-of-the-art master plan guideline documents communicating the internal and external signage standard hierarchy, messaging, sign system graphics and sign location plans. Her graphic design portfolio includes a volunteer recognition wall and art therapy for Merrick Inc.- Empowering Adults with Disabilities, and master plan documentation for Normandale Lakes Office Park and Allina Health Hastings Clinic.
Spencer Peterson – Graphic Designer
Mr. Peterson is a graduate of North Hennepin Community and Technical College with a AS Degree in Graphic Design. After completing an internship with Visual Communications, Mr. Peterson has become a permanent team member as he continues his ongoing education for a Bachelor of Fine Art Degree at Concordia University. His projects include our web newsletter, holiday card, and survey and master planning support for Anoka County Government Center, Metropolitan State University, and Saint Paul College.
