Visual Communications has provided hospital wayfinding and identification signage redesign for the Bethesda Hospital (formerly Bethesda Rehabilitation Hospital) for over five years. Phase one established new hospital signage for the exterior of the complex. Materials used were of natural aluminum, textured rain-glass and a faux patina paint finish. Phase two established guidelines for interior hospital signage including directories, directional signs and room identity and building standards. This was recently incorporated into an extensive remodel of the first level of the facility. In addition, hospital signage recognizing several levels of donor recognition have been designed and implemented including several specialty wings throughout the facility.
