Visual Communications created a new City Signage Master Plan to be utilized for the next 25 years at all City of St. Paul Parks. The city signage plan includes a key focus on Como Regional Park tourism attractions, wayfinding and parking amenities. Visual Communications teamed with the planning and landscape firm of Hoisington Koegler Group, Inc. to provide location and placement to fit seamlessly within the historic natural and long-term goals of this premier Regional Park. Key signtypes were designed to be implemented immediately in Como Regional Park, including identification, vehicular and pedestrian wayfinding and digital LED parking signage. The complete group of 20+ standard signtypes designed and specified will be part of a catalog to be utilized in all St. Paul Parks city signage based on attrition.
Colorful destination universal pictograms were designed to assist in wayfinding for all visitors, including growing diverse multilingual populations.
The timeless design complements the architectural history of St. Paul Parks and structures while including the natural elements of the surroundings.
