Visual Communications provided a fresh new logo to replace the historic logo originally created in 1939. The new logo is part of a new and revitalized Wayfinding Master Plan created by Visual Communications. Over 150 new logo signs & poles, 75 directional arrow panels, and 40 stream signs were implemented under the design and supervision of Visual Communications.
Significant in the process of design was bringing together the varying visions and sentiments of the members of the Skyline Planning and Preservation Alliance.
Visual Communications approach allows us to carefully listen to all of the team’s individual concerns and to bring stakeholders to consensus.
In addition to signage, VCI created 100,00 three-fold tourism brochures to reflect the new signage, mapping, and the larger tourism areas of the City of Duluth. Finally, VCI provided a new and functional website design for Skyline Parkway to link with the cities home site.
The project was completed in conjunction with the revitalization of Enger Tower in celebration of historic visit of King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway in the fall of 2011.
