Minneapolis Community and Technical College is an urban campus, owned by the state of Minnesota. It was recently renamed after the merger of two long-standing institutions (Metropolitan Community College and Minneapolis Technical College). It was essential that the university signage system crate a new and unified image to create a strong presence and also to unite and bring staff and students together. The campus has a large international registration representing over 2% of the 7500 student population.
Services: A complete interior and exterior university signage and wayfinding masterplan was created to sign the six (6) main campus buildings and parking facility and three (3) satellite campus locations. The masterplan hierarchy included all interior and exterior identification and wayfinding. All graphics were designed, documented, bid, and sign fabrication and installation was project managed by Visual Communications.
