Saint Paul College Campus Banner Signage Saint Paul, Minnesota

Visual Communications designed and provided Saint Paul College with comprehensive exterior banner system to announce and celebrate 100 year anniversary.

The system included two 6' X 54' full color banners which are located on the third level of the colleges main building. Banners can be viewed from Interstate 94 and Kellogg Boulevard facing the downtown business district. Variances from the City of Saint Paul were granted for the banners as the city code allowed for only one much smaller banner, with limited 1 month usage. The banners exceeded the size, quantity, and usage limits allowing the banners to be installed for up to seven months.

In addition to the large banners, 60 smaller banners were installed on light poles throughout the campus. The design was created by Visual Communications and included recent student photos. The collaboration between the Visual Communications graphic design team, the college staff, and the brochure design team seamlessly tied together the college's long term marketing plan.

Visual Communications also designed and implemented a 6' x 60' interior "Centennial" wall graphic display. The graphics encompass the student images and personal stories along with the colleges 100 year history.

Saint Paul College Centennial Wall Design Saint Paul, Minnesota

To commemorate Saint Paul College's 100 Year Centennial, Visual Communications designed and created a 100 year graphic history wall.

The sign display will be a permanent feature of the college. In conjunction with the history wall, Visual Communications also created and implemented an exterior banner campaign composed of two 6' x 54' billboard sized banners and 60 light pole banners.

Budget was a main concern of the college, therefore it was necessary to create a design that could be implemented as funds were available. To minimize costs, Visual Communications worked with college staff to determine graphics and graphic image possibilities. Visual Communications teamed with Archetype Signmakers to provide a highly cost effective product with high quality custom digitally printed graphics.

Each of the four sections measure 6' x 12' for a total wall image covering 54'. Each section is is composed of four "V" shaped display areas. The "V" shape aluminum panels project 4" from the wall surface - in compliance with the American's with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG codes). The panel backgrounds are toned with light and dark grey to emphasize the dimension.
